How does TakeTime block apps?
TakeTime uses Apple’s Screen Time APIs to apply shields to apps you select. When a block triggers, TakeTime shows a short lesson and one quiz question before you continue.
Why do you need Screen Time permission?
Screen Time permission is required to block the apps you choose. TakeTime does not read the content inside other apps you block.
How do I upload a PDF?
You can upload in two ways:
- In the app: open Upload PDF and pick a file.
- From another app: tap Share → choose TakeTime.
Where does my uploaded file go?
Your uploaded material is stored securely so TakeTime can generate learning cards and keep your content synced across devices (if you use more than one).
My uploaded content isn’t showing up.
Common fixes:
- Give it a minute — uploads may take time to process.
- Confirm you’re signed in on the device.
- Try force-closing and reopening the app.
If it still doesn’t appear, email calebhyun@live.com.
Why am I seeing repeated questions?
If your queue starts feeling repetitive, upload new material or add more lessons to the course. TakeTime will also prompt you to refresh content when needed.
I’m stuck on the quiz / can’t unlock.
Quick checks to unblock you:
- Restart the app.
- Confirm Screen Time permission is granted.
- Confirm the correct apps are selected for blocking.
- Update to the latest version of iOS and TakeTime.
