TakeTime (“we”, “our”, “us”) helps you reduce distractions by using Screen Time to block selected apps and showing short learning content before you continue.

Information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to provide the app’s features:

• Account/Identifiers: An anonymous user identifier and authentication tokens used to keep your content synced.
• User Content (Uploads): Files you choose to upload (such as PDFs or images). Any note or instructions you add during upload.
• Learning Activity: Your quiz/learning attempts (for example: which question you answered, whether it was correct, timestamps, and basic timing).
• Diagnostics: Error information needed to keep the app reliable.

How we use information

We use your information to:

• Provide the core app experience (blocking flow, learning content, uploads).
• Generate learning cards from the files you upload.
• Improve content freshness (for example, prompting you to upload new material if your learning queue becomes repetitive).
• Troubleshoot and fix issues.

Screen Time / FamilyControls

TakeTime uses Apple’s Screen Time APIs (FamilyControls / DeviceActivity) to block apps you select. We do not read the content inside other apps. Your app selections are used only to power the blocking feature.

Sharing your information

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We may share information only with service providers that help us run the app (for example, secure hosting/database/storage) and only to provide the service.

Data retention

We keep your uploaded materials and learning activity data as long as needed to provide the service, unless you delete it or request deletion.

Your choices

• You can choose not to upload files and still use parts of the app.
• You can delete custom courses/modules/materials from within the app (where available).
• You can request account/data deletion by contacting us.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) when communicating with our servers.

Children’s privacy

TakeTime is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above.
